Actresses for Anastasia Steel
Anastasia Steel Drawn by Book Description Photo Cred: Hollywood.com |
6. Miley Cyrus, 19
Shocker, I know. I honestly think that she could pull this off. Also, I believe she needs something to do. I must be truthful, I enjoyed watching her on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana. Cyrus fits Fifty Shades' description. She's got the blue eyes, brown hair, and an innocent look. I don't know, what do you think?
5. Alexis Blede, 30
Miss Bledel is a shocking 30 years old. She has definitely aged gracefully. I've been watching Bledel since the hit show Gilmore Girls. I'm a little half and half on Bledel. She is older, but looks nothing like 30, so that's good. Also, she looks very different with brown hair compared to her normal dark brown almost black hair. Bledel also has dark brown eyes, which can be easy fixed with contacts, but a natural blue makes things easier. I kinda like Bledel for the part, but we'll see.
4. Emma Watson, 22
Little Miss Emma Watson. She has climbed the chart since the finish of Harry Potter. I must say she grew up to quite hot! I loved when she went for the kill and chopped her ginger locks! The pixi cut was stunning on her. Watson definitely carries the innocence as well as the seductive sexiness needed for the role. I was surprised to see how quickly she bang to appear as a frontrunner for this role. I believe she could do the role quite well.
3. Rachel Bilson, 31
Rachel Bilson has somehow flown way under the radar. I think she has so much potential but hasn't gotten the break she deserves. I believe landing the role of Anastasia Steele could help her. She's 10 years older than the character's portrayed age, but Bilson doesn't look 31, so that's good. Other than that, I do think she could be a good match for the seductive character.
2. Emilia Clarke, 24/25 (c. 1987)
I'm only familiar with Clarke's performance in HBO's Game of Thrones, but I loved her then, and I love her now! I thought she played her power role very well. Clarke has the bright eyes that are too big for her face. She is beautiful, and transforms easily. I'd be very pleased to Emilia Clarke protraying the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, the movie.
1. Maggie Grace, 28
Maggie Grace is my personal first pick, as well as thousands of other across the globe. Grace is a few years older as well, but just like her other contenders, she does not look her age. She did an exceptional job in the blockbuster Taken along side Liam Neeson. She also played the lead sexy roll of Emilie Warnock in the movie Lockout alongside Guy Pearce. Hot, hot, hot! Grace has all the exceptional features of Miss Steele. As an explosive cherry topper, Maggie Grace is a natural born Virgo! She was born on the 21 of September, while Anastasia Steele shares my birthday, September 10. I will flip tables if Maggie Grace does not land the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie portrayal of Fifty Shades of Grey!
Who are your top picks for the seductive roll of Anastasia Steele?

ZeekRewards. A Ponzi Picture.
As some of you have tried to sleepily complete the repetitive actions of logging on to Zeekler or ZeekRewards to no avail, your questions have been answered. Sadly, the ever lucrative ZeekRewards, affiliated with Zeekler.com, has been shut down by the SEC, claiming it to be a $600 million Ponzi scheme. As FORBES reported, "...it was shut down by the SEC because it was a Ponzi scheme on the verge of collapse..." It is a sad day for all the former, suddenly poorer, Zeeklers. A moment of silence please.

I'm not one to say I've told you so, so I'll just settle for.. Better luck next time.
Here is an interesting video on Zeekler and its recent misfortune.

Fifty Shades of Grey: Casting Prospects
Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey |
So all along I saw Simon Baker as Christian Grey and a no name for Ana
Steele. Then I hit the part about his crackhead mother, and I believed Christian deserved a darker person. That's when I went with Ian Somerhalder. Yes I know Simon Baker is a bit too old for the part, but he can play young. To be honest, I think it is a fair tie between the two.
Maggie Grace as Ana Steele |
Simon Baker as Christian Grey |
My Ana Steele alternative would be Nina Dobrev, and I do believe she would do an amazing job, but I think Dobrev fits with Somerhalder (as us Vampire Diaries lovers know), but not so much with Baker.
The possibilities for Christian Grey could honestly go on and on, but these are my two definite contenders.
Nina Dobrev as Ana Steele |
As for the rest of the cast, the ever curious Katherine Kavanagh, a few prospects are, Katie Cassidy, Shailene Woodley, or Lake Bell. As for Elliot, tall, dark, and handsome, my thoughts are Kelly Blatz or Max Thieriot. I am keeping this Elliot option open for a little while. For Jose, the photographer, played by Victor Rasuk, from How to Make it in America and Stephen Amell as Taylor the ever obedient Taylor, Grey's assistant. I'd love for it to be John Cena, but that would be playing games!
There is aslo Ana's family, her "father" Ray, her mother Carla, and step-day Bob. Here is Ray, as food for thought, Hugh Laurie! In all seriousness my second pick is Kyle Secor.
Tom Selleck as Christians dad. OOO I'm having much too much fun.
Busy now! Finish in a bit!

Last Friday: Ice Cube and Chris Tucker Do it One Last Time!!
Ice Cube & Chris Tucker |
5 years later, in 2000, Next Friday premiered and got even more buzz than its previous movie. This time Craig (Ice Cube) goes to live in Rancho Cucamonga, California to get away from South Central as Deebo (Tom Lister, Jr.) has escaped from prison and he started smoking weed, with his Uncle Elroy (Don "D.C." Curry) and cousin, Day-Day (Mike Epps), when Deebo goes back to prison. Who could forget Day-Day! Mike Epps' memorable character whom we've all come to know and love!

Willow Smith: TONGUE RING!
C'mon now. I mean for real. There is a line whether we want one or not. An eleven year old girl, famous or not, is an eleven year old girl. 5th grade, technically is where she would be, either about to go to 5th or 6th grade. If my daughter, if I had one, thought about getting something pierced at that age would just laugh at herself and know better than to ask. This, in my opinion is wrong. It crosses all ethical and some moral standards. Things you just know you not supposed to do. I do not know how Will agreed to this, or how Willow talked her mam into thinking this was okay. I have to laugh, because I just cannot wrap my head around this concept.
NEWEST UPDATE!
Willow claims the ring to be a fake!... I say, we'll see!

Time Magazine: Are You Mom Enough?
TIME Magazine's May 2012 Cover |
What the freak?! First things first, what made TIME Magazine believe that it was okay to plaster a woman breastfeeding on their coveted cover slot? To add to the already worse situation, the creative directors, no doubt, thought it would be, well, creative to have a woman breast feeding an almost four-year old child. Why? Why, TIME, why? I'm so disappointed. She's standing there looking all proud thinking, "Of all the breast-feeding mothers, they chose me and my toddler son!" We're all thinking the same thing, but in a sane sense. My opinion on the matter is that it's cool, go ahead, try to be daring and put controversial pictures on your precious cover, I'm sure it will sell regardless. Do not however try to go above and beyond when you're really just making a fool of yourself. I mean seriously, if the kid can say that he wants more, it's time for a sippy cup. I mean, look! He's standing on his own! He probably went and fetched that chair he's standing on himself! Imagine your child sucking on your nipple and the pain you felt when they bit you, and all they had were gums. This kid has teeth! There is an unspoken spoken rule of thumb. When your child sprouts teeth, put 'em in a booster seat! Just that simple. Seriously though, what were you thinking TIME? Tis Pity.

Essie vs E.L.F Nail Lacquer
These two nail lacquers are different in name but same in the game. This Essie polish is named "Too Too Hot". It has a thin base but goes on nice and easy. I only applied one coat. The same goes for the E.L.F. Polish, which is named "Smokin' Hot". The only difference is that is has a white base which gives the color a bit more depth. I only applied one coat as well. To be honest, I can barely tell the two apart. If you know E.L.F., then you know that their polishes are environmentally friendly and lack the typical nail polish smell, which is definitely for the better! Also if you're looking to get the look without the cost, E.L.F. is the way to go! With an avg of $3 a bottle you can't go wrong. Essie usually costs around $7-8, which isn't bad because the lacquer holds up to an every day beat down for at least 7 days. And that's without the top coat! E.L.F., on the other hand, if you do the four coats (base, two color, top) it'll last up to 14 days solid. You just have to weigh your options with these kinds of things, ask yourself : What are you looking for in a lacquer?
