Essie vs E.L.F Nail Lacquer

These two nail lacquers are different in name but same in the game. This Essie polish is named "Too Too Hot". It has a thin base but goes on nice and easy. I only applied one coat. The same goes for the E.L.F. Polish, which is named "Smokin' Hot". The only difference is that is has a white base which gives the color a bit more depth. I only applied one coat as well. To be honest, I can barely tell the two apart. If you know E.L.F., then you know that their polishes are environmentally friendly and lack the typical nail polish smell, which is definitely for the better! Also if you're looking to get the look without the cost, E.L.F. is the way to go! With an avg of $3 a bottle you can't go wrong. Essie usually costs around $7-8, which isn't bad because the lacquer holds up to an every day beat down for at least 7 days. And that's without the top coat! E.L.F., on the other hand, if you do the four coats (base, two color, top) it'll last up to 14 days solid. You just have to weigh your options with these kinds of things, ask yourself : What are you looking for in a lacquer?
