Time Magazine: Are You Mom Enough?

TIME Magazine's May 2012 Cover

What the freak?! First things first, what made TIME Magazine believe that it was okay to plaster a woman breastfeeding on their coveted cover slot? To add to the already worse situation, the creative directors, no doubt, thought it would be, well, creative to have a woman breast feeding an almost four-year old child. Why? Why, TIME, why? I'm so disappointed. She's standing there looking all proud thinking, "Of all the breast-feeding mothers, they chose me and my toddler son!" We're all thinking the same thing, but in a sane sense. My opinion on the matter is that it's cool, go ahead, try to be daring and put controversial pictures on your precious cover, I'm sure it will sell regardless. Do not however try to go above and beyond when you're really just making a fool of yourself. I mean seriously, if the kid can say that he wants more, it's time for a sippy cup. I mean, look! He's standing on his own! He probably went and fetched that chair he's standing on himself! Imagine your child sucking on your nipple and the pain you felt when they bit you, and all they had were gums. This kid has teeth! There is an unspoken spoken rule of thumb. When your child sprouts teeth, put 'em in a booster seat! Just that simple. Seriously though, what were you thinking TIME? Tis Pity.
